Chinese New Year

Today's Chinese New Year or the first day of the Spring Festival, end of winter! I'm sure many would dispute that. For us upside downers, it means the end of summer and beginning of autumn. Not much of a summer, I'm quite sure it's the end of the world.

Anyway, a happy and prosperous Dragon New Year to all. Year of the dragon, the blurb goes:

Lucky gemstone: Opal, sapphire and amber
Lucky colours: Gold and black
Most compatible signs for Dragons: Rat, Snake, Monkey and Rooster
Most incompatible signs for Dragons: Dog... too bad if you're 18, 30, 42 or 54 :(

well, we're not having much of a winter, either, if it makes you feel any better. Only snowed once, a few inches this weekend, Upper 50's and gorgeous today, no coat - and snow all gone. We should be freezing our butts off and dodging giant snowbanks !
