My Castle Fantasy...

I've finally found the perfect spot to build my dream home. It's in Cambewarra, away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney. It's 40 acres, 10 cleared, nestled below a rainforest pocket on the Browns Mountain, private, overlooking a panorama of the distant Shoalhaven coast. Asking $395,000.

And the house, it's got to be a Queenslander. Love the design, verandah all round...

Give me a home among the gumtrees
With lots of plum trees
A sheep or two, a k-kangaroo
A clothesline out the back
Verandah out the front
And an old rocking chair ...

Confimation...

Say no to FB Groups

In the SMH today, headlines read Facebook intelligence used to target CHOGM protesters.

Deputy Commissioner Chris Dawson said in the meantime protest actions, such as the Anti-Corporate Greed and Anti-Wall Street movements, have been widely monitored through Facebook and Twitter.

"Police are monitoring all such groups and that's proper, there's nothing underhanded in that," he said.

Guess why I deactivated my account...

Why am I not surprised II...

I'm sure you've been following the story in China about the little boy who was hit by a van and how long it took before anyone helped...

Unfortunately, that's a reflection of today's society. I wrote a while ago Why I'm not surprised, where ambulance officers were being sued for "unlawful assault and battery" and the judgment of the California Supreme Court.

Done it!

Leaving Facebook. Screenshot kept for posterity.

Finally, I've pressed that deactivate button. Yes, I've removed myself from Facebook, deleted, gone!

The final straw? It was being added to a protest group, campaigning for something by a "friend", without my consent. To a group I have no interest in, nor did I support what they were campaigning for.

Fun is one thing, but landing up on the blacklist of a foreign government is another.

How many...

PS: This is an interesting post as it embeds a calculated field from a Google Spreadsheet. It is linked to a Google Document and published, updated every 5 minutes. From the Google document menu, select File, Publish to the Web.... easy!
